A Castle of Sand by Bella Forrest book review

This installment of A Shade of Vampire is an emotion ride. Lines of deceit are crossed, characters finally take their sides and things start to crumble in Sofia and Derek’s world in the Shade. Little do they know Sofia is more entwined in the Vampire world then they could possibly know. Everyone wants a piece of her and it doesn’t look like she will survive!

I liked this book as the games were played to stay alive and ahead. This book again was written in multiple perspective but is easy to follow. We finally see some action between the Vampire families and the hunters too!

I also like that Sofia is finally standing up for herself and the humans living on the Shade and that Derek is stepping up to defend them with her!

I can’t wait to see what happens next with Sofia, her family, Derek and the Shade!

My Rating: 4Stars

Overview from Goodreads

What Sofia has with Derek feels like a sandcastle; temporary and something that the waves of life and time will soon ruin…

Since the return of Gregor Novak, the island has turned several shades darker. His hatred toward Sofia and thirst for fresh blood lead to a brutal war igniting between father and son.

Meanwhile, the hunters are gaining formidable strength and resources by the day; they know that the safety of The Shade hangs entirely on its ability to remain hidden from them.

And a sinister secret lies in wait for Sofia within the bowels of an Egyptian desert… a secret that threatens to crush her sandcastle much sooner than she could have expected.
